ok I can't lie, you all have missed out on the true hey-day of this place, when it was in an tavern house in the heart of downtown albany. my family and I have been eating here for four generations, possibly five (they opened in 1903). their cheese pizza is my #1 favorite of all possible time and space. the crust of the cheese pizza is buttery and crunchy - a plumber source once told me they were doing maintenance on the kitchen and found out the crust might be pillsbury dough? - but in all my years of stuffing my fat ass with pizza, i've never had one that tastes quite like this. they cut the slices very small so eating an entire pie is really only like having a normal slice and a half of 'za. the new spot lacks the character of the old location but it will get there. this is some real townie shit. BEST PIZZA EVER!!!
