Paul Pfeiffer is one of my favorite contemporary artists. A lot of his work deals with spectacle and what happens when you remove the subject from the context of what made the moment so grand, what then becomes of that moment. What informs significance? Where is the weight of the experience anchored? What happens when all these factors float in nothingness.
